Tuina
Kneading, rolling and pressing
Forty-five, sixty or ninety minutes, through loose clothing or over a sheet.
Tuina is a Chinese hands-on tradition. We knead, roll and press along the muscles and around the joints, with our hands and forearms, and move between areas so one part is not overworked. You wear loose clothes, or lie under a sheet if you prefer.
Loose clothing or a sheet, never more than you choose
Neck, shoulders, back and legs

Questions about this session
What is tuina?
Tuina is a Chinese hands-on tradition. We knead, roll and press along the muscles and around the joints, with our hands and forearms, through loose clothing or over a sheet.
Do I need to undress?
No. For foot work you keep your clothes on and we roll your pants to the knee. For tuina you wear loose clothes, or lie under a sheet if you prefer.
What if the pressure is too much?
Say so at any time and we will go lighter. We ask how firm you like it before we start, and again when we change areas.
